Photo frame re-do

I am working on my "family and friends" wall! You know the one...it has the collage photo frames with pictures of your family and friends?!

I am SO tired of those boring, plain and cheap photo frames that bend slightly when you hang them up?! So I have purchased 3 NICE collage frames that have 4 photo spots in them, one for each one of my siblings/sibling in-laws! And I plan on adding some other fun, decorative frames with them to put individual pictures of family and friends in!

I found these 4X6 frames at Target. They're PLAIN white and only $.98...what a sweet deal! So I thought...hummm, I can do something with these to make them more interesting and fit in on my re-done wall!

So the first group of frames, I took Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. I pick out colors that would match the rest of the house and torn them into pieces. Then I Mod Podged them on to the frames. They looked great however I wanted a more "worn" or "aged" look so I took a walnut stain and wiped it over the scrapbook paper (this is not photoed here...thought I had a picture but this picture is BEFORE I "aged" them). They look GREAT!
The second set...I didn't want them all to be the same! I sanded sightly, so that paint would stick! Then I painted them flat black, let them dry over night! I was looking for something that looked like copper...humm...so I went to the scrapbook section of Hobby Lobby (my favorite store EVER) and found some copper colored embossing powder! I looked through my stamps to see what I could find that would go with everything else...and below is what I found. I used the embossing pad for the stamps, stamped it on, put the powder over it and heated it up! LOVE THEM! They will make another great addition to my wall!
Keep checking back to see the finished wall! I am working on "The family" frames this week!
