Rain, rain, we might float away

When the rain started we were ecstatic about it...wash everything off and FREE WATER! What's not to be ecstatic about? The garden could use some good ol' rain! And it was a slow steady rain...PERFECT!!

These pictures are of our sweet lil' garden in our city backyard! If you look closely you can see the rain drops on the window because, yes, I took them from inside the house...what get wet to take pictures or get the camera wet? NOT!!!

My colorful pots with my Geranium and Mosquito plants! These plants give off a WONDERFUL lemon scent when you rub your hand across them! Do they help with mosquito's you ask? Why I don't know we haven't been outside at night to use them, it has been too hot!

Love this tree in our backyard it is so tall and wide that it is starting to shade our back deck!

Our sweet lil' watermelon plants are LOVING the slow steady rain too!

Oh look at the sheen off the concrete...and LOVE the smell of rain in the morning!!

Another tree enjoying the water...this one and the one above are in the front yard! Yes, we have LARGE trees at our house!

The Hosta's  got some water but they're pretty protected by those big trees and the eves of the house!

So by now it has been raining for 3 days...yes 3 days! When did we move to Washington state? Oh wait we're still in Oklahoma just a crazy out of season storm...IN JULY!!! But we'll still take the rain although a few times it was pretty heavy and we have some pretty big puddles around town!

 We looked outside to find this cute creature on the fence! We had a bird feeder out and now we have squirrels...hummm! Anyways, these guys have been driving the dog nuts...he sits at the bottom of the tree in the backyard, looking up, whining and barking! Mind you he can't see the squirrel but he knows it's there and he is determined he is going to get it!!

We watched from our bedroom window as he ran along the top of the fence, almost falling off a time or two and covering his back and head with his tail when he stopped...see even the squirrel was tired of the rain!! He finally made it to the tree and took a flying leap...he made it into the tree!

Thankful for the rain and thankful it stopped and the sun came out BUT then again maybe not...now it's H-O-T again!!!
